Form & Melody is our newest murky IPA built with our signature murky recipe. It sings in perfect harmony with a unique combination of carefully selected hops: Pacific Northwest Citra, El Dorado, and Idaho 7 Cryo. It delivers aromas of juicy pineapple, coconut, and magnolia, and tastes like tangerine zest, starfruit and rainier cherry. Its soft body and dry finish will leave you humming!

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (water) glass
Price: $4.40 (20 pct. off $24 for a 4-pack because of AHA card)
From: Pure Project Balboa Park in Balboa Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 30, 2021
Consumed: Jan. 8, 2022
Misc.: Canned on Dec. 21, 2021; Split 4-pack with Sonny and Kevin
Picked up a 4-pack of this and a few others on a recent trip to Pure Project. Their website called it “Form & Melody is our newest murky IPA built with our signature murky recipe. Poured a light golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of rocky-to-frothy white head. Could see lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up the sides of the glass. World-class foamy lacing. Almost perfect foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
The Citra jumped out on the nose. Also grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, melon, hints of cantaloupe, lemon zest, Starburst candy, coconut and hints of watermelon. Also El Dorado, but wasn’t getting much Idaho 7. Not quite as good from the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted a little better than the nose. In order got big Citra, Starburst candy, grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, El Dorado, melon, cantaloupe, El Dorado, coconut, lemon zest, hints of watermelon, white gummi bear, floral, peach, lime and just a touch of the Idaho 7. (Taste - 3.75)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
I really liked this one. Underrated this slightly overall. Both the smell and taste categories were almost 4.00s but whenever in doubt it’s always lower. (Overall - 4.00)
