Similar in appearance to the hazy myriad of stars that make up the Milky Way, our newest murky IPA beams bright with Strata and Comet hops. Essences of pineapple, white nectarine, cherimoya, and strawberry shine through a smooth and juicy mouthfeel. Reach for a can of The Murky Way and enjoy under a starry night sky.

Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. snifter elemental (water) glass
Price: $5.50
From: Pure Project in Balboa Park (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: n/a; Received July 17, 2022
Consumed: Aug. 5, 2022
Misc.: Canned on July 7, 2022; Split (1/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (2/4)
Kevin picked up a 4-pack of this for Sonny and I. Pure Project’s website called this “Similar in appearance to the hazy myriad of stars that make up the Milky Way, our newest murky IPA beams bright with Strata and Comet hops. Poured a light golden hazy color with 3-to-4 fingers of rocky white head. Could see a lot of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass at different speeds. World-class uneven foamy lacing. Perfect lingering foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled that Strata right away. Also weed, dank pine, viney strawberry, pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, nectarine, peach, stone fruit and melon. A smidgeon better from the can with the addition of banana. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got Strata, weed, dank pine, melon, pineapple, grapefruit, viney strawberry, nectarine, peach skin, stone fruit, pear, hints of banana, earthy pilsner malt, dry grass and lingering black pepper. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Long, spicy finish. (Feel - 3.75)
Another outstanding hazy IPA from Pure Project. A bit spicier than I’m used to for the style but still splendid. (Overall - 4.00)
