Opaque Dreams is loaded with organic blueberry and peach purees, which were swirled into suspension after fermentation, creating a smoothie-like mouthfeel. Cloudy magenta in appearance with a complementary mix of tartness and sweetness, and a body so thick that it sticks to the glass, this beer pushes the boundaries of beer as we’ve known it. In the words of our head brewer, Winslow, it “tastes like a blueberry peach smoothie, perfect for breakfast!”

Got a can of this from Sonny. Pure Project’s website description was “Opaque Dreams is loaded with organic blueberry and peach purees, which were swirled into suspension after fermentation, creating a smoothie-like mouthfeel. Poured a deep amber, almost purple hazy color with one finger of fizzy greyish head, which dissipated quickly. Could see a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class pulpy-to-foggy head. Good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled smashed blueberry, blueberry skin, diced peach, plum, raisin, dates and dark fruit. Nowhere as good from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted better than the nose. This was excellent. In order got smashed blueberry, blueberry skin, diced peach, plum, purple grape, raisin, dates, dark fruit and a touch of tartness. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy-to-slick texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Really liked this one. Definitely more than I thought going in. (Overall - 4.25)
