Collaboration with Cellarmaker Brewing Company
We teamed up with our friends at Cellarmaker Brewing to bring you this unfiltered West Coast double IPA. Dankness Rising features Nelson Sauvin, Strata and Centennial hops over a base of California-grown Admiral Pilsner malt, producing a pale golden ale with a dry body and clean bitterness. Wafts of resin, pear, pineapple and lychee give way to flavors of orange zest, cantaloupe and fuzzy peach skin.

Misc.: Collaboration with Cellarmaker; Canned on July 27, 2021; Split 4-pack (2/4) with Sonny (1/4) and Kevin (1/4)
Snuck over to Pure Project to grab a 4-pack of this to split with Sonny (and Kevin). Had to be good as a collab with Cellarmaker. Pure Project’s email called it “We teamed up with our friends at Cellarmaker Brewing to bring you this unfiltered West Coast double IPA. Poured a medium yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass and a little bit slower along the sides. World-class foamy lacing. Excellent foamy retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled bubblegum, mango, pineapple, pine, dank resin, caramel malt, cantaloupe, melon, peach, stone fruit and mixed berry. For mentioned hops, would go with Centennial slightly ahead, followed by an even Nelson and Strata. Surprised no Mosaic or Moetueka mentioned. Much better on the nose from the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got bitter pine, dank resin, black pepper, melon, cantaloupe, caramel malt, grapefruit rind, bubblegum, mango, pineapple, stone fruit and mixed berry. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Just an outstanding West Coast double IPA, but I have to say I was hoping for more from these two breweries. Still outstanding though. (Overall - 4.00)
