The ladies of Pure proudly present Flames of Eden, a fruited murky double IPA brewed for International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day. It dons a cloudy coral color thanks to the addition of organic, locally sourced blood oranges and organic dark tart cherries from Washington. Dry hopped with a complementary blend of Riwaka, El Dorado, and Southern Cross hops, this juicy brew brings a bouquet of grapefruit, candied lemon, and white peach. Flavors of freshly squeezed blood orange juice, raspberry lemon sorbet and pomegranate add flare on the palate. Enjoy this one on a sizzling sunny day or around the bonfire blaze.

Got a can of this from Kevin. Pure’s website called it “The ladies of Pure proudly present Flames of Eden, a fruited murky double IPA brewed for International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day. Poured a light amber hazy color with three fingers of white rocky-to-frothy head. Could see plenty of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled blood orange, cherry, pomegranate, raspberry, white peach, El Dorado, red berry candy, red grapefruit, Riwaka, lemondrop candy and orange zest. Even better out of the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose but still outstanding. In order got blood orange, tart cherry, pomegranate, raspberry, peach, apricot, El Dorado, lemondrop candy, red berry candy, red grapefruit, Riwaka, pine, orange zest, vanilla, melon and hints of peppery spice. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Knew going in that I’d probably like this with blood orange and cherry involved but man oh man did I like it. Just an excellent beer for me. (Overall - 4.25)
