On tap:
Pours a yellow gold, brilliant and clear. White foam is a medium ring that provides a few streaks of lacing.

Nose has a clean, hay-like opening, then a little apple skin. Then there's a weird note that is light but comes across as metallic or catty in different sniffs.

This note becomes more metallic/minerally in the taste, but integrates better as it warms. A fairly dry, apple (again the skins come out) flavored farmhouse ale is what I get. The mineral aspect at times makes it seem watery, especially with the nice light body. Do the added ingredients bring these aspects, in some fashion? I might think a bit, given that a warmer beer has an earthy nutmeg-like note inthe mix.

Interesting beer that I really like the more normal aspects. The mineral/metallic aspects aren't totally off-putting, and I wouldn't expect the additions to form these notes, but I can't say for sure. I'd like this to try in another situation to find out.

simple and well made beer, this is like the classic table beer, all day drinking sort of stuff for me, i love grisette, and this seems tame in flavor to me, but delicious and fresh. i love the presentation, a big long stemmed globe shaped glass with a deep golden colored brew inside, an inch of white head stays on top, its picture perfect. its nice and grainy, some rye malt i would think, wheat and pils type barley too, its cerealy and malty without being sweet at all. more earthy and toasty, but very light, late summer vibe. its not as interesting as a lot of these, a little fuller bodied than some though, but without the awesome effervescence on the feel, this has good carbonation but its not maximized for refreshment. it also is missing any trace of wild yeast, not sure the strain here, an ardennes fermented cooler maybe, something saison or belgian-esque, but mild. it ends up being not quite as exciting on the yeast front, but as a whole, i could not imagine a better made beer, it was super impressive from a quality standpoint, and in the end, i loved all the beers i had in here. white elm is definitely one of the beer leaders in the scene here despite being so new, some incredible flavors coming out of here. this is great full flavored session/table beer.
