Traded for this a while ago as the date on the bottom of the can read 7/10/18 with "DRINK NOW" written underneath that. This looked and tasted like a typical Hudson Valley Sour Ale as much as a New England IPA, as this was nicely slick and smooth without being too heavy on the palate.
The pour to this was a milky blonde with plenty of loud head that loudly and quickly retreated like sea foam. No lacing was left behind as this quickly settled to just liquid. Lemon pledge, oats, and yeast were in the nose as the taste was quite tart and sour, in addition to those flavors. Sweet and sour, this almost felt like a Gose without the accompanying fizz. A bit of white wine dryness and light wood could be felt in the mouthfeel as this easily went down...
Hard to detect the booze here as this almost felt like a session beer that I'd enjoy in the spring. This was balanced and something that I'd expect from Hudson Valley but nothing like the New England IPA's that I'm accustomed too from Tree House, Trillium, or Magnify. Only a bit of sediment was at the bottom of the liquid but this held up well and was enough to check all of the proverbial boxes off!

L - pours a Hudson Valley classic milky yellow. Solid haze, looks like frozen pineapple juice. Minimal head.
S - lemon tart and tangerine sour. Lemon-lime and sour candy.
T - goes hard on the pink grapefruit tartness. Really biting and butt puckering. Italian spritz and lemon zest. Leaves a hoppy coating in the mouth when all is said and done.
F - light and airy, but not overly foamy. Drinkable. Crisp.
O - on the lighter side and not packed terribly full of flavor, but captures the crisp, refreshing aperitif drink nicely. Reminds me of winter nights in Venice sipping on Aperol spritz.

This one pours a super hazy and murky yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like a grapefruit mimosa, or a paloma- with white wine, lemon candy, vanilla, grapefruit candy, mango, and light acidity.
This a lot more basic and stripped down than their typical fruit basket/herb garden style Sour IPAs- and it's pretty tasty for that. It's got a wonderful soft acidity here, balanced and pleasant, with a big grapefruit, lemon, and mango hop flavor. There's a bit of white wine type flavor, some grapes, and a hint of vanilla.
The vanilla flavor might just be coming from the very creamy feel this has. It's very drinkable, with a typical level of carbonation.
Nobody does this style as well as these guys do.
