Traded for this a while ago, as the date on the bottom of the can read 5/9/18 with "DRINK NOW" written below that. If you like your beers sweet and one-dimensional, then this would be up your alley as the description on the can fit it's attributes perfectly. Hudson Valley seems to have a certain genre of brews nailed and this fit that bill as this made me want to pucker up and find a chaser of sugar for when it was all over...
Even though this had meyer lemon in it, the look and feel of this beer was that of orange juice. Not a lot of head topped this off and it had been ages since I saw something that left virtually no lacing behind. Juicy, thin, and slick, the consistency was a harbinger of things to come as this was full of lemon, artificial sugar, and dank grapefruit. The sticky aftertaste from the honey was the only evidence of it as there was just too much lemon in this for me to take seriously. A A lack of body and a dry, chalky aftertaste broke things up but this beer had the potential to be so much more...
The best attribute of this was the low amount of alcohol as it was easy to enjoy this from the get-go. Had there been another can on hand, I would have cracked that open and easily quaffed it. This didn't feel like an American Wild Ale as it was on par with Hudson Valley's better-known Sour Ales. Worth a go once just to relax from heavier brews!

Opaque corn milk yellow with a few floaters that plop out of the can before fading into the murk. There's absolutely no head on this one.
Smell is hoppier than taste--fresh, sticky dew covered bud with a bit of resin before lemon and grapefruit zest pop in.
Taste is quite lemony, making it a bit more tart than the other Silhouettes, with some green hop that's sweetened by honey that at the same time does not really impart a honey character.
Body is smoother and a bit thinner, but still with a round feel and lightly crisp, semi-dry finish.

L - pale, yellow, and lemon. White hue and not much head. Let's give it a swirl. Crackly and... it's gone.
S - lemon and watermelon sour patch kids. Light, refreshing, and summery. Lactose sweetness.
T - nicely tart. Definitely some lemon warheads here. Leaves that chalky "my tastebuds are ruined" sensation from eating too many in the back of the throat. Funky straw and teeth-rotting sourness.
F - gentle and quickly dissipating. One moment it's there, the next it's gone. Low carbonation and generally smooth.
O - this advertises sour lemon and it hits with... sour lemon. A bit one-dimensional in that regard, but it's a nice, tight, concise package that takes my mind off the heat.
