16 oz. can. Hazy pale orange. Smells of white grape, herbal notes, very fruity. Nice. Tastes of tropical fruit and pale malt sweetness up front, fruity flavors, and a bit of earthy herbal hop behind it. Keeps it interesting. Medium body. A little sharp, but otherwise drinkable. Good.

Hazy amber brew with long-lasting foam in the narrow jack Daniels glass. Slushy carbonation with the tang of acidity. Inviting aroma of green melon and tangerine. Plenty of malt with a sweet start, which is quite enjoyable given the intense hoppiness. Flavors of orange and passion fruit with citrus rind finish.
Not overly strong, and just moderately murky. Some bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite drinkable. This is another excellent surprise from Resident. Fro the 16 oz can shipped from Best Damn in San Diego.

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. brandy snifter glass
Price: $5.49
From: Bine & Vine Bottle Shop in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 31, 2019
Consumed: Dec. 31, 2019
Misc.: Canned on Dec. 16, 2019
Had been waiting to try this and finally grabbed one for me along with a couple 4-packs and 6-packs of some other stuff for a NYE party. Would be reviewing this close to leaving, so was going to be quick. Basically what it sounds like, a solely Nelson Hazy IPA (actually double dry-hopped). I’d had Chasing Citra five times before on Untappd, giving them each a 3.75, saying it was close to a 4, but I never reviewed it. EDIT: Turns out I had a half pour of this at Bottlecraft North Park in June 2019 and gave it a 4.25 on Untappd, writing, “Wowza. Excelllent.” Huh.
Poured a golden hazy color with three fingers of rocky white head. Could see lots of slow moving bubble streams creeping up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Perfect retention. Just awesome looking. (Sight - 5.00)
Smelled Nelson, passion fruit, white wine, viney berries, orange rind, tangerine, apricot and hints of herbal. Much more potent from the can with Nelson dominating, almost like I could taste that hop sediment. Yum, yum. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. Followed it though. In order got Nelson, passion fruit, white wine, bitter viney berry, orange rind, tangerine, apricot, herbal and lingering pepper like spice. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Abrupt, dry finish. (Feel - 4.00)
A damn good beer, outstanding even, but I was hoping for a bit more. Probably more my expectations than anything else. (Overall - 4.00)
