Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England IPA
Glass: Firestone 14-oz. Teku glass
Price: $4.39
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.

Consumed: July 1, 2020
Misc.: Collab between Resident and Pinthouse Pizza; Could not read canned on date
Picked this up at Windmill Farms while looking for some good ones for Nick and Mark. Hadn’t seen or heard of this one before, but a collab between Resident and Pinthouse Pizza had to be good. Back of the can read, “A collaboration hazy India Pale Ale with Pinthouse Pizza. Double dry-hopped with Galaxy, Strata and Citra Cryo.” Used to not be a fan of Galaxy, but coming around to it a bit more. Big fan of Strata and obviously Citra. Was looking forward to it.
Poured a medium yellow-to-golden hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy white head. Could see just a few bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. World-class spiderweb lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.50)
Smelled big notes of Galaxy up front, followed by mentioned Strata and Citra. Also passion fruit, peach, dank weed, grapefruit, melon, papaya and some pineapple. A little sweeter from the can with the addition of tangerine and nectarine. (Smell - 4.25)
Taste wasn’t quite as good as the nose, but still pretty good. In order got Galaxy, passion fruit, peach, grapefruit, Citra, dank weed, nectarine, tangerine, melon, hints of pineapple and Strata. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily-to-creamy texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.00)
This was outstanding overall, especially for someone who’s not the biggest Galaxy fan. (Overall - 4.00)
