From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.

Consumed: July 10, 2020
Misc.: Canned on June 25, 2020
Spent way too much at Windmill Farms and then at North Park Beer Company, but happy with my selections. Had been really digging Resident beers lately and this one seemed to be following my trend. Back of the can read, “For this Hazy Coconut IIPA, we used an expressive ale yeast, wheat malt and oats for a soft mouthfeel. For hops we used Citra, Citra Cryo, Nelson and Amarillo for a burst of hoppy tropical fruit in combination with organic coconut.” Was looking forward to that hop combo.
Poured a golden hazy color with three fingers of frothy white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. Almost perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled bit Citra and Amarillo right away, and later Nelson. Also tangerine, orange rind, coconut (was fresh on my nose after just having North Park’s Tiki), grapefruit, viney berry, melon, papaya and orange blossom. (Smell - 4.00)
Damn. Tasted that coconut right away. Specifically coconut flakes, Amarillo, Citra, tangerine, orange rind, grapefruit, Nelson, viney berry, melon, papaya and orange blossom. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Tropical finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This was outstanding overall. Interesting with that coconut. (Overall - 4.00)
