This must be a couple years old but it has been living in the cold garage or refrigerator the whole time. The flavorings are as described and are surprisingly not bad. I'd call this some kind of flavored brew rather than a Blonde Ale. I didn't realize that Resident had closed. Well, here's to a brewery that made some great IPAs and Lagers!

Type: 16-oz. can

Glass: North Park 16-oz. Willi Becher glass
Price: $3.99
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Dec. 26, 2020
Consumed: Jan. 22, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Dec. 15, 2020
Grabbed this and 10 other singles when I planned to go to Windmill Farms for two other 6-packs (I still got those). Untappd description was “Golden Ale brewed with Tired Eyes coffee, vanilla beans, cacao nibs, and coconut. A tropical winter ale.” Sounded right up my alley.
Poured a medium pale clear color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very bad lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 3.50)
Smelled coffee, cacao, coconut, vanilla, roasty malt and hazelnut. Not as good out of the can. (Smell - 3.75)
Tasted much better than the nose. Wow this was good. In order got vanilla, coconut, macadamia nut, coffee, cacao, chocolate and hints of caramel. Did not taste like a 7 pct. ABV beer. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, roasty finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Damn. The before-and-after it touched your lip ratio here was crazy. Was so damn good when It hit my lips (just like Frank the Tank). (Overall - 4.25)
