Snuck over to Windmill Farms for a lunch break from work, just to see if they had anything new since my last trip there. Came across this one, which I heard went pretty quick at their brewery. Untappd description was “Brewed in collaboration with Joe Musgrove. Unfiltered West Coast IPA with Nelson, Strata, Citra, and Simcoe hops.”

Poured a light amber clear color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Outstanding lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.25)

Smelled Strata, strawberry, grass, weed, Citra, Nelson, gooseberry, white grape, Simcoe, pine, herbal, floral and grapefruit rind. Almost as good from the can. (Smell - 3.75)

Tasted about as good as the nose. In order got Strata, berry, grass, weed, Citra, Nelson, gooseberry, white grape, pine, Simcoe, black peppery spice, herbal, floral, grapefruit rind and lingering caramel. Fairly smooth for 8.206 pct. ABV. (Taste - 3.75)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish. (Feel - 4.00)

Probably underrated this overall but at least very good. Would have it again for sure. (Overall - 3.75)

Clear golden amber with plenty of foam in the Chimay chalice. Pleasant lush and sudsy mouthfeel. Lovely lemony and honeydew aroma. A bit of citrus peel taste. Then the pervasive and splendrous melon taste with just enough sugar to make you want to kiss it. Overall, I give this the Most Congenial award. More fruit and less bitter, but all clean and non-hazy. SO non-hazy.

Hops are listed as Nelson, Strata, Cryo Citra, and Simcoe. This is actually a super DIPA and could make me forget Modern Times and some other brewers if it's available more than once. Game #8,206 is the reason for the ABV. From the 16 oz can dated 9/17/21, so the hops have lasted well.
