Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: New England Double / Imperial IPA
Glass: Firestone 16-oz. Spiegelau IPA glass
Price: $4.69
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Oct. 31, 2021
Consumed: Nov. 3, 2021
Misc.: Canned on Sept. 17, 2021
Went over to Windmill Farms to pick up a 4-pack and came back with a bunch of other stuff as well. Untappd description called it a “Hazy IPA with Mosaic, Motueka, and New Zealand Cascade hops.”
Poured a light golden hazy color with three fingers of rocky white head. Fairly calm setting underneath with just a few bubbles coming up the sides of the glass. Perfect foamy layered lacing. Perfect retention. (Sight - 5.00)
Smelled mostly Mosaic and Motueka. Specifically floral, mango sorbet, guava, strawberry, lemon-lime zest and confectionary sugar. A little better out of the can. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted Mosaic, mango sorbet, coconut, strawberry, guava, floral, Motueka, pine needle, citrus zest, grapefruit, confectionary sugar and some melon. Tasted pretty smooth for 8.2 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
This beer really grew on me. Super smooth and a nice mouthfeel. Outstanding overall. (Overall - 4.00)
