A good saison suitable for a good gastropub.
Barnstormer has nice amber Looks, but could use more foam. Smells are fruity, but indistinct. Tastes are well balanced with the fruit being tamed in the ale's finish. Just under medium-mouthed. Probably could use a more active yeast, typical of American micros' saisons. I didn't detect much funk, which is why I liked Barnstormer.
State Room has a thoughtful and diverse menu. I'm betting this saison was brewed for many of State Room's food menu entrees.
