Pour was very nice and aromas were a bit complex but as with many other beers from these guys, I find the one dimensionality of the 'sour' characteristic a bit of a downer. There aren't any layers of funk and tartness, but aggressive kettle souring (I assume). While not incredibly offensive, the sourness is all I could really pick out in the beer. Not the worst beer I've had, just would ask for some more from people doing these styles.

Lovely straw on an autumn day colour. Light lace head. Citrus sour nose. It is what HHOE does well. The origin of the saison is to be a drinkable light beer for farm help to refresh with during the day. I could not think of a better beer than this to match that description. Light body with moderate carbonation. Very delicious and very refreshing. Overall a great beer!
