At my lady Pamela's house; canned, from their Lager Mix Six boxset from my favourite LCBO at The Roundhouse Centre in nearby Windsor. My 4th of this brewery's wares, and 2nd of 2025.

355 mL can from the brewery; dated Jan 29 2024 and served slightly chilled.
Pours an effervescent straw yellow colour, briefly topped with half an inch of loose, sudsy white head that fizzles within sixty seconds. A frothy collar is left surrounding an islet of film in the center, while swirling the glass generates a few strands of lace. It smells of white bread, soda crackers and grains, with just a hint of grassy hay.
Not bad, but not especially great, either - basically a bog standard craft lager. It tastes of white bread, grainy malts and light cereal sweetness, with little development beyond that, aside from perhaps a hint of apple or lemon acidity. No discernible hop presence; off-dry finish and aftertaste. Light in body, with assertive carbonation that contributes a firm bite to this lager's thin, refreshing mouthfeel. It's drinkable, but entirely forgettable.
Final Grade: 3.46, a B-. While Anderson's Gold is not worth going out of your way for, it's fine for what it is: a local "everyman's" no-nonsense, no-frills lager. Pretty boring compared to their other products, but it's functional, i.e. it fills a gap in their portfolio. A preferable substitute for any of your typical macro alternatives, though I don't think I'd take this over Anderson's cream ale, or any of their other mainline offerings for that matter.
