Pours slightly opaque caramel with a medium sized ring of white foam. The smell is the start here: peaches, funk, oak, flowers, grass, orange, apple, pear, grape, vanilla, lacto, lime, some dankness not sure from what, and apricot. For taste, really sip and let it warm, because it starts very peach heavy with some lime, flowers, orange and lacto, but in time it blossoms into more complex with the funky yeast, oak, apple, pear and apricot. Smooth, light but not thin, a little syrupy even.

500 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 12/4/2017. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden/amber color with a 1 finger dense off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/fairly tart/tangy peaches, apricot, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy/funky/acidic yeast, peaches, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big Aromas of big juicy/fairly tart/tangy peaches, apricot, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderately fruity/lactic tartness, fruit tang, and peppery yeast/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy peaches, apricot, fruit skin/pits, lemon, lime, orange, pear, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, oak, hay, straw, grass, peppercorn, wheat, cracker, white bread, light lacto/musty funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy/funky/acidic yeast, peaches, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/spiciness and tangy fruit balance; with no puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/spiciness, tangy fruit, and carbonation. Medium-plus carbonation and medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/acidic/tangy, fairly crisp, and lightly tannic balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is an awesome fruited wild saison! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy/funky/acidic yeast, peaches, oak, and moderate pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, and pretty refreshing to drink with the modestly spicy/acidic/tangy/drying finish. Awesome balance of juicy/jammy fruit and Brett/Lacto/Saison yeast complexity; nice oak foeder presence, and pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness from lingering crisp dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

foeder aged saison with peaches, a really cool beer, pretty art, pretty beer, just very high quality beers in this style from these guys, well ahead of expectations! this has a nice orange glow to it and some good clarity until we get to the bottom of the bottle, rich looking for what it is, impacted visually quite a lot by the peaches i would think, and the nose shows a whole lot of fruit to this. its fleshy ripe yellow peach, super summery and juicy, natural and really robust in here. faint white wine notes from the oak, mild vanilla there too, and a nice tangy yeast complexion thats clearly trying to dry out all that fruit. the flavor is awesome, peach all the way through but most prominent up front, easing back in favor of the yeast later on. some light funk to this, but also a belgian saison character as well, kind of floral to me, more delicate than all the fruit and the wood for sure. nice complexity, some cooked peach or baked peach dessert character here too, and a funky finish. it could stand a bit more carbonation, pouring lively but dissipating too quickly, and it does have a lot of body for what it is, but i thought overall this was really original and very well done. the saison types impressed me most in here! i bet this ages beautifully!
