Creek Don't Rise Lager

a drinkable but somewhat unremarkable lager, tastes a little tired to me but i dont see a date on the can. we picked up a sixer for the fridge this week, and they have gone pretty quickly, but its not a beer i want to make a day of, a little bit of residual sugar to it, a little oxidation too, but some nice body, a frothy almost soapy feel that i think makes it more substantial than a lot of pale lager types. it has some hop bitterness at the end which seems a little out of place for a lager like this, but that could be a product of more delicate hops fading over time. if this was a little cleaner, i would like it a lot, but its just quite as refined as it could be. i like it having some body, and i can tell that it was designed to not just be basic yellow beer, but its an evolution away from being all the way there. my dad liked this, i liked it less and less each can i had. my first beer from these guys, ill look for more while i am in texas this week, i would be curious to see what else they do...
