Poured from a 12 oz can into a goblet.
Dark for a DIPA, more copper than gold. Fluffy, long-lasting off-white head. Unfortunately, this beer smells old and oxidized. I get wet cardboard and none of the IPA aromas I'd like to find. The flavors are similar, just aged malt and no hops. Medium body with strong carbonation. Moderate to high bitterness and some alcohol heat.
I feel bad that my sample is so damaged (at least I assume that's what's wrong), but I can only review the sample I have. I bought this off a grocery shelf in Texas and I can believe it may be old and mistreated. I'd be happy to try another sample if I get the chance and update this review.

can dated 2/23/21; today is 3/7
pours a deep amber gold body with an excited off-white burnt cream colored foam head that lingers at about a finger with moderately high retention and leaves behind a high amount of sticky lacing as it settles slowly
aroma is bready caramel malt and fresh pine with an herbal tinge
taste is sweet bready malt that carries in a pine hop that leans more and more herbal as it warms; the malt gets grainy as it warms as well.
mouthfeel is moderately high carbonation and medium body; chewy and malty and slightly resinous with an earthy and herbal hop bitter finish
overall:
another IPA that would have been better well done to tone down the sweetness. while the hops are nice and classic, the malty sweetness mixes to a near-nauseas degree with the herbal nature of the back half of the brew. the result isn't too flattering and is quite unfortunate in the grand scheme. it's near medicinal or root-like with this current combo. not acquainted with this brewery and this certainly wouldn't be my choice in first steps/introductions.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a dark copper color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a ton of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is very light overall consisting mostly of a bready smelling with some other aromas of a light caramel and a little bit of a herbal smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a very malty and bready flavor that is very lightly toasted and lightly grainy taste in nature. Along with these flavors comes a decent showing of a caramel taste as well as a decent showing of some pine and earthy hops. As the taste advances the earthy tastes get stronger and are joined by a little bit of a pine hop flavor. At the end a little bit of a booziness comes to the tongue, and with a touch more herbal hop and some grass and spice one is left with a malty and slightly more dank taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is rather low. For the malty tastes and the dank hop the feel is nice and makes for a slow sipping brew.
Overall – An alright brew overall, but nothing all that fantastic.

Appearance: Deep amber red glass holds a solid cover of tight tan foam that leaves heavy lacing.
Aroma: Sweet crystal malt base, smells a bit like a Red, the hops are there but they are green and citric, not much bitter.
Taste: There's actually so much malt base it brings a lot of balance and some nice toasted grain complexity. So, I guess it has "depth" (rimshot), but it's true. The hops are mostly earthy, some West Coast citric, some East Coast leaf, again, showing some complexity.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, low "sudsy" carbonation, slight oil in a pretty clean finish.
Overall: The more I waded in, the more I liked this. Not a typical IPA blow your face off with hops beer, this has hops, lots of them, but it has the malt the back them, almost getting into American Strong or even the edges of an English Barleywine. Barrow is a local brewery, so I'm biased, but this is one of the best I've had from them, I'll be looking for more.

Had it during a beer festival sponsored by the brewery. Decent pour with good head. Nice fruity smell. Taste is very boozey and somewhat earthy. A bit piney and just a hint of grapefruit, despite the citrus smell. Ok, but not something I would get again.
