This is an exquisite beer. According to Garrett Oliver "Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal from the tiny town of Chichicapa. Only six barrels made." This is a seriously deep beer. Complex and and innovative. Mezcal ageing a Saison is brilliant. Lovely in the glass as it produces sizeble pure white head and a good amount of lacing. Nose is superb. Golden ale with all the Belgian notes. Alcoholic Tequila gives a sweet boozy layer with oaken and light fruits. Taste is so smooth. Full Belgian Saison with a full shot of the good stuff. Boozy with an underpinning of Pilsner malt and a hint of iodine. The Mezcal blends so well with the Local 1. Feel is excellent with a high drinkability and smooth carbonation. Just a superb beer for sipping and indulging your tastebuds. A surprising melange of flavors that can only come from this type of combination of artful brewing and boutique tequila.
