A light crisp ale with hints of spice and clove from the Belgian yeast and grains of paradise. This 6.5% golden-colored ale is aged on orange peel and dry-hopped with Citra giving it a refreshing citrus character.

Yellow amber with a little bit of fizzy white head. Aroma is muted barnyard funk. Taste is similarly muted but with some nice citrus notes, and plenty of clove that grew on me as I sipped. Relatively low carb. Solid beer.

Pours a lovely sunset yellow color. Cloudy appearance with a foam head that soon dissipates.
The nose reveals attributes of the Citra hops as well as orange peel. Aromas of grapefruit, orange, lemon lime, mango and peach. Notes of mint, grass, coriander and clove.
A cracker and honey malt base, firm and doughy, supports the yeast and hops spices. Fruity notes of mango, pear, peach and lots of citrusy notes of grapefruit, lime and orange peel. Assertively spiced with notes of coriander, pepper and clove, as well as resinous, grassy and herbal hops flavors that also add bitterness.
Medium bodied to slightly full for a Saison. Slightly doughy and chewy mouthfeel with a dry and resiny finish . The carbonation is moderate.
This was a nice Saison especially with its use of Citra. I would have again.
