I want to give this high praise for this very non-traditional approach to a very traditional style.
I put Paper Planes towards the bottom of the Top 50 quality bocks per average rating.
It does not Look rich like a malty bock and its Smells also are not what barley and wheat produce. So, hard to compare.
However I get some very sweet, but balanced Tastes... and if brewers can get to that style characteristic by using wild rice, power to them. It is hard to imagine how brewing even wild rice finishes as full-in-the-mouth as barley/wheat, but Paper Planes at least makes me think this is possible.
OA Kudos for an intelligent experiment. May Fermentorium brew their Brewers Reserve for years to come. My first from them and I look forward to tasting more of their wares.... even if I have to jump the border to Wisconsin to get some.

Pours a clear darker amber color. The head was minimal, what was there was white, and retention is poor.
The nose has a slightly "wild" aroma. Slightly funky smelling. Very light nose.
Taste - is very interesting. So many flavor profiles. Thare's that slight funk in the taste. There's a slight sweetness to it. Slightly malty. Minimal hops.
The feel is decent bodied. Not watery.
Very unique beer. I do like it, and will get more from this brewery in the future.
