Updated full color label of a 4 masted ship on The River with setting sun vibes.
Deep amber color, slight protein haze with an impressive 2 inch head of thick, clotted cream foam and drapes of lace.
Aroma is rich malt - toffee and steeped grains over mint and pine - very inviting.
Flavor is again rich in malt flavor, nuts in caramel sauce followed quickly by sharp hop notes of tart fruit and black tea.
Body is medium but on the lighter side as the malt slips away in deference to the hops.
Hop bitterness finishes with a dry and pleasant bite.
Fine example of a real IPA in the left coast style.

A: The beer is slightly hazy amber yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a collar consisting of frothy white bubbles around the edge of the glass and delicate lacing on the remainder of the surface.
S: Light to moderate aromas of piney hops and caramel malt extracts are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has flavors of piney hops with notes of citrusy hops and caramel malt extracts. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness. The piney hops linger into the finish.
M: It feels medium-bodied and somewhat crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer fits its description and smells and tastes like an IPA from the dawn of the craft beer age (i.e., late 1990s/early 2000s). It is a little lighter in body compared to today's beers from the style, which makes this very easy to drink.

On tap at Bootlegger's Bar and Grill in Troy, NY.

This one pours a clear dark orange, with a small head, and a lot of lacing.

This smells like grassy hops, orange, and lots of pine.

This is pretty simple, but not too bad. It's got a clean and tasty bitterness, with a bit of orangey hop flavor.

This is light bodied and really crisp, with a good level of carbonation.

This is solid, but a bit unremarkable.
