Imagine an American IPA and a Berliner Weisse had a baby...
This hazy orange IPA is unique in that it's simple floral American IPA aroma betrays it; it has a quick initial floral/hoppy bite, but that is washed over by a refreshing sweet-and-tart berliner weisse lactic flavor, with a similar feel.
A very drinkable refreshing beer that can and should be enjoyed by IPA fans and skeptics alike.
Try a single first - it's $12.50 for a 4 pack

Urban South is probably my 2nd favorite brewery in La. besides Parish, and this is good, maybe as good as the Cucumber Lime Gose overall, but it's definitely not worth twice the price of that. I tried not to let price affect rating, so I give this a 4ish but whereas I would buy the Gose again I would not buy this even though it's good.

Canned 17 days ago.
Pours pinkish amber with a thin white head.
The nose is herbal and floral with a urinal cake character (odd, I know, but I get it from some kettle soured beers). Mint, hibiscus, and catty funk.
The taste is similar but less catty. Subtle notes of cherry and peach play off the herbal/floral/funky notes I get on the nose.
The mouthfeel is medium minus.
Overall, pretty good. I'm not sure this is a "sour IPA" - it strikes me as a pure kettle sour with minimal hop presence - but it's enjoyable nonetheless.
