Served in a can. It looks like a cooperative venture with Definitive Brewing Company in Maine. Gold to copper color with a very faint haze. Two-finger initial head which settles normally. Some spots and a streak or two for lacing.
Banana cream pie, candy cane sugar, and some citrus tartness for the nose. Very much like a strawberry-vanilla candy. Perhaps some graham cracker smells in the background. I am a little dubious of the taste.
The taste is more beer-like with a traditional paler malt and a definitive (pun intended) hop bite. I note strawberries and cream in the background. I do not pick up on the banana, but I do detect some vanilla. Decent body with a lowered effervescence. Extremely complex flavor profile, but I'm not sure if the entire combination actually works. Still, I keep going back to take another sip...to figure this thing out.
