The nearly neon carrot puree orange body has no head to disguise the soupy surface, which leaves a fine pulpy residue on the glass.
Tons of squashy pumpkin actually starts off the somewhat gritty palate. The spices then roll in, mostly consisting of dusty allspice and nutmeg, before the beer's tartness follows without a huge expression of flavor, making it somewhat more drinkable despite it's thickness.
A touch of marshmallow emerges as it warms, but it's not the biggest attribute, and not really as though toasted, finishing oddly waxy yet paper dry.
