Apearance of dark Amber gold with modest white cap.
Scent of rich, caramely malt with a nutty undertone. Really inviting scent.
Taste on entry is caramel malt forward with a noticable but subdued nuttiness riding under the malt. Hops are there as a balancing act supporting the main players. Rich and mellow, I could pour this stuff over breakfast cereal.
Medium to full texture with well balanced carbonation.
Altogether, this one's a winner.

Certainly amber, even glowing, if not a bit darker, under a short white blanket.
Fitting to have this brew with a catfish poboy in Mississippi, I get graham malt, smooth and not toasty, which at times verges into raisin and caramel, though not heavy or thick. It's a more medium body with a soft froth.
