Had on tap at Crickets Taproom in Waco, TX. Clear, dark gold beer. No head at all. Huge, sweet aroma and flavors of caramel, nuts, and even butterscotch. These could be seen as flaws in many beers, but here I think I see what the brewer is trying to do and I'm OK with it. From the description as a Cream Ale and the over-the-top ABV, it seems to be an Imperial Cream Ale. It is tasty and enjoyable, although a bit sweet.

Gotta say, bought this for the name only. However, it’s a pretty good beer. Scent is bad ass. A nice combo of sweet malt and toffee. Taste is sweet, but not overly so. Getting light peanut butter and toffee. A nice alternative when you want a break from IPAs. Hides abv quite well. Try it.

Really good. Nutty, and really kind of creamy. It got better as I drank it. Light tan in color, but a small head. The mouthfeel was full. The alcohol was hidden well.

Appearance: A thin and coarse white head crowns a crystal-clear medium golden-orange body. Fat bubbles adorn the glass walls. Occasional fat bubbles race to the surface, renewing the head. The lacing is chunky and Belgian-like.
Aroma: There is a rich and prominent aroma of marshmallow and caramel, very similar to Kraft caramels, in fact. There is also a strong wave of vanilla. I am able to note only faint hints peanut butter, alas, although the aroma is still quite pleasing. There is no hint whatsoever, of the nine percent ABV.
Taste: Upon testing, there is a brief moment of peanut butter, followed by notes of marshmallow and honey. Soon after, A mild bitterness presents, along with a mild wave of peanut butter and honey. As to the alcohol, the ABV of nine percent is quite artfully concealed, with there being little in the taste, and only a mild warmth to suggest it. Overall, I would suggest that the taste is more like a peanut butter and honey sandwich on white bread, with a mild and lingermig sweetness.
Mouth feel: Full and soft, quite pleasant.
Drinkability/notes: Very well-done, quite pleasing, an excellent dessert beer, without being "over-the-top".
Presentation: Packaged in a standard twelve-ounce aluminum can, served in La Fin du Monde tulip.

S: awesome smell pick up pecans, toffee, and caramel real strong
T: real strong on the pecan taste but the alcohol content really shows at the end like tasting a watered down pecan vodka

Pours a very hazy golden amber color with a finger width foamy head. Head retention is good. Lacing is very good. Definitely has a peanut butter aroma, surrounded by marshmallow. The taste follows the same way with a decent bitter bite at the end. Odd taste but it seems to work. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

Pours a brilliant golden with a fluffy chalk white head.
Nose is toasted peanuts, peanut butter
Taste follows. Roasted peanuts, a hint of toasted malt, peanut butter.
Body is smooth, crisp, medium carbonated. Attenuated nicely, invites another sip.

this was unexpectedly awesome. not something I would sit around and drink all night but I'll gladly come back for another round someday.
deliciously complicated. didn't get much of the "marshmallow" promise but the peanut butter was straight forward and made for a weirdly smooth experience given the ABV stuffed in with the "Imperial Cream Ale" advert. some booze heat and graininess is for sure hanging around in there, but the higher-level carbonation paired with a near-heavy body feel really pushed that peanut butter vibe into some seriously smoother-yet-complicated territory that I don't know I would or could associate with any other brew.
runthru: pours a darker gold body with average looking white foam-bubbled head that had lower retention and left little lacing as it settled to a halo; smell and taste align with a peanut butter nutty medley that jolts between sweet and malt bomb-sticky-nut-caramel stuck between a billowing higher carbonated but heavier body smoothness that is peppered with grainy booze elements before finishing quite smoothly with low-low-levels of bitterness.
pairs beautifully with chocolate flavors.

Poured from a can into a snifter
Appearance – The beer pours a deep golden amber color with a one finger head of puffy white foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather sweet overall with lots of sweet peanut butter and a good showing of crème and caramel. Along with these smells comes some nice grainy and corn aromas as well as a bit of vanilla and an almost lucky charms like smell. Interesting and inviting.
Taste – The taste begins with a sweet and heavy crème ale flavor with lots of caramel, crème, some nice lightly toasted malt and a rather sizable amount of a grainy and corny sweetness. At the start the peanut butter, while big in the nose, was almost non-existent in the taste. As the taste advances however the PB gets a bit stronger initially being much sweeter, but adding more roastiness as the taste advances. All the while a “cereal like” marshmallow flavor comes to the tongue (you know that crispy marshmallow taste of lucky charms marshmallows). Toward the end the vanilla ramps up a bit and with a tiny touch of booze, one is left with an interesting but rather pleasantly sweet pb and marshmallow cereal like taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is medium to slightly thicker with a carbonation level that is slightly on the more average side. For the PB, and marshmallow cereal like flavors of the brew the feel is rather nice and makes for a nice sweet and slow sipper.
Overall – A very interesting brew. Like a sweet breakfast cereal/dessert. While I wouldn’t frequent it too often, it is a rather nice brew for the time to time occasion and one to definitely at least give a try to.
