Copenhagen 14/1 2020. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Musa’s usual design in pink and blue in whirly pattern.

Pours unclear yellow with big white head. Fairly bubbly. Settles as thin layer of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.

Aroma is medium intense, citric and lightly spicy. Sharp citrus, mellow oranges, yeast, sweet pale malts, Black pepper.

Light carbonation. Thin, oily, lightly tingling texture.

Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronge citric bitterness. Aftertaste is sourish with a lighter sweet undercurrent. A little bit thin. Semi-dry finish.

Decent if somewhat thin Saison.

This may still be brewed as my bottle had a BB date in 2020. (But no need to change its status.)
Nevertheless, an interesting saison. But, it doesn't give me enough fruit.
It actually Looks quite good: a nice foam and lace to complement a typical haze.
Smells, Tastes and Feel are slightly above average because it is really hard to cultivate Belgian yeast when you are not on the northern French border. But, I have to like MUSA for doing most other things right here.

I went on their website and, having been to Portugal in 2012, know how important it is that they are trying to elevate the beer culture there. They have a taproom. They are having fun. But they only started in 2016. My guess, it takes a generation to make a Belgian yeast as good as the Belgians. Culture is not made by a brewer only a few steps away from the passion of home brewers.

Poured to an Ora et Labora taster.

A: The body is yellow and pristine, having a very good look. Head is two fingers thick showing very good retention.
S: The aroma is very gentle of herbs, ginger with a light malty touch in the end.
T: The taste starts off with a also very gentle touch of ginger, having a somewhat grassy and earthy touch to it. In the end, a pure malt profile like you'd expect in a grown up pilsner.
M: Body is light. Carbonation is good. Alcohol content, despite not finding any in the sip, is to heavy for a saison. End is mildly sweet.
O: Might be the best MUSA beer I've had so far though.
