Canned 6/9/23. “You don’t mess with animal, he eats glass, man” stamped on the bottom of the can
I haven’t had too many beers from Wayfinder before, but did enjoy the few I had. And they’re a pretty well known name in the scene so I trust that this straightforward American Lager will be good as well. Plus I’ve also heard good things about Fair State Let’s get into it
Pours a clear pale yellow with 3 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a cap and leaves decent lacing
It's very bright and snappy in the nose, suggesting a firm but balanced bitterness. I'm picking up on aromas of lemon zest, crackery malt, white pepper, earthy hops, toasted grain, grass, light honey, and orange juice
The taste unfortunately doesn't nearly compete with the nose, but the sweeter vibe presented here is still good as is. Pn the front end of the sip I'm tasting bready malt, lemon zest, floral hops, honey, white pepper, grass, light biscuit, and corn. The swallow brings notes of bready malt, orange zest, corn, floral hops, sweet honey, toasted grain, and light grass
A light medium body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes a tad sticky but dries out over time
Damn, this is good, but if the taste matched the intensity of the nose it would be world class. Still very happy to have tried it

Can. White head. Clear light golden color.
Biscuit, bread, cereal grains. Grassy, floral, and zesty hops. Crisp, clean. Smooth. Straight forward pils, but done very well. Fun collab between two great breweries.

Pours a pale golden, limited retention on my can. Some mild grain character, inoffensive. Mild and crisp are accurate describers. The corn-ness of it is present, but also not overly sweet or show stealing. It's got the right measured amount of bitterness, and it's well attenuated. It has an assignment and it passes clearly and effortlessly. Definitely not the best corn lager I've had, but a really good AAL nonetheless.

Pint at the Westside Taphouse in West Salem Oregon.
$6.00.
Pours a very pale yellow. Small off white head.
Aroma malts, faint floral hops .
Very nice quenching taste .balanced. Some bitterness. But still to style
Excellent mouth feel. Doesn't get bogged down like cheaper American lagers.
Very good. Should be in 12 packs.

Clear bubbly yellow body, large eggshell white head and thick lacing. Smell and taste are clones: bready yeast, pilsner malt, pale grains, lemon zest, light grassy hops, and kiss of minerality. Super clean and crisp with a touch of paleness, simpler with high carb, dries out nicely. Great pilsner, had in winter but would love on a warm day at happy hour in the biergarten

Can from ABV
A clear straw yellow with a dense white head with good retention and lacing. The nose is a clean American lager with a mild but noticeable toasted cereal character, a lightly dusty, fruity hop character. A little sterile? On the palate, this is clean, fruity with a mild fermentation character, soft dough and an heirloom grain character. Fruity citrus and firm hop bitterness, but there's a mild fatty/oily feel that doesn't work and reminds me in ways of Kingfisher instead. More corn than i typically care for. Solid.

16oz can
Pours two fingers of creamy white head into my Pilsner glass. Retention is pretty good, half of the head remains after a few minutes and a sliver lasts most of the way down. Lacing is somewhat inconsistent, but frothy and not too bad. Body is pale yellow, crystal clear, with a healthy amount of bubbles coming up. Looks pretty good.
Nose has a really nice malty backbone, bready but it’s not a deep breadiness - still very clean. Some faint fruity esters that compliment things wonderfully with a bright feel. Faint pine/earthy hop profile in the background. This smells outstanding.
Flavor has that malty base, but it’s much more subtle. Hops dance on the tongue briefly, but are also very subtle. Certainly leans towards the maltier side of the two. Esters show up for a nano second in the finish. While not as potent as the aroma, it’s still bigger than most Lagers. Very nice regardless.
Mouthfeel does a good amount of work completing this “maltier and heavier than the status quo” character. The body is medium in weight; carbonation is medium-high; it’s clean, but not quite crisp, with a smooth feel. Not dry, and there is a hint of sweetness that comes out more over time. Bitterness is pretty low. It gets a little heavy as it warms, but overall it’s a good mouthfeel that works well.
Drinkability is great.
Overall a solid Pilsner with an elevated body and a wonderful nose.

Canned 11/4. Pours a light straw color with a finger or two of white, frothy head. Light aroma of yeast with a whiff of freshly cut hay. Taste is slighly bitter up front, pleasant maltiness and smooth finish. It's a nicely crafted pilsner, with some added corn for a touch of sweerness. 5.3% ABV. Released in the late fall, this beer brings in memories of warm summer evenings and ice cold beer.
