A collaboration with our brunch restaurant, Deep City, representing our home in the deep city of Burlington. This pale ale glows golden with tropical notes of passion fruit, cantaloupe, and mandarin orange. Dry-hopped w/ Citra Spectrum, Eclipse Spectrum, and Citra T90, it finishes w/ citrus peel and a touch of pine.

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $4.75. Canned on: 01/29/25, so this beer is almost 7 1/2 months old.
Look: Pours a nice medium gold color with excellent clarity and photogenic carbonation - multiple streams of small bubbles are rising up the glass in unison. There was two fingers of a rocky off-white head that have since dissipated to a thin ring around the rim.
Smell: It has a nice brightness to it with lemony citrus and lemon peel. It's also a bit floral and peppery on the nose. There's a subtle grainy and perhaps corny sweetness that comes through as well. It's kind of giving me an vanilla-iced lemon cake kind of vibe. The nose is very simple, but I really dig it though. Green bell pepper on the nose after swirling the glass.
Taste: Very tasty. It has that classic balance of maltiness and hoppiness that you want a good American Pale Ale to have. And it's ultimately a bit drying and also thirst-quenching. Some piney notes up front along with the grainy malt sweetness. It has a bit of a lemon iced tea vibe that I really love in Pale Ales. Also getting melon notes. Nice lemon rind and pith on the moderately bitter finish. Peppery notes on the finish as well.
Feel: It's on the lighter side of medium bodied. Nicely carbonated with a soft mouthfeel. Slightly oily mouthfeel.
Overall: This is my first Foam Brewers beer - these guys seem to have a lot of potential. Apparently, they've been around for a while but their beer has only become available recently in the greater Philadelphia area. This reminds me a bit of one of my favorite local pale ales - Yard's Philadelphia Pale Ale. Deep City is a very tasty and drinkable American Pale Ale. Very clean, bright, fresh flavor. At just 5% ABV, it's hard to find another pale ale that brings more flavor and this level of hop/malt balance. A very solid, old-school American Pale Ale.

Poured into a tall tulip at the brewery, the appearance was a muddled burnt orange color with a quickly dissipating finger’s worth of white foamy head. Moderate semi-sticky lace. Light rings, The aroma had some starfruit, orange peel, melon underscored by a light piney bitterness. The flavor leans to the bitter side noting the sharp piney qualities to the citrus rind. Starfruit sits in the background a bit more. Bitter citrus rind-like aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice low key sort of carbonation to it. Overall, really nice APA that I would have again.

On tap at Foam. Pours with an enormous fluffy white head atop a hazy orange body. Smells of light citrus, grain, and some sharp fruitiness. Taste accentuates the fruits. Orange with like lime citrus behind it. Still grainy. Light bitterness. Soft carbonation. Excellent pale ale.

L: Quite hazy gold and yellow with nice white head on top.
S: Huge melon characteristic with grapefruit, orange peel characteristic.
T: Topical citrus melon twist. Definitely get the starfruit and maybe a bit of passion fruit.
F: Very refreshing and light. Soft mouthfeel. Surprisingly full for the abv and soft side of carbonation.
O: Great pale ale. I could drink this for days and thoroughly enjoy every sip.
