fuck this is insanely good. pours out an absolutely beautiful rose - salmon pink pour with a bight white and creamy head. aroma and palate is perfectly ripe fresh fleshy watermelon, seeds and all, honeydew, its so light and slightly salty gives the impression of watermelon soaked in salt water diluted 1:10,000 in the most mellow and restrained grainy brew. its subtle tartness creates a tangy watermelon flavor. watermelon saltwater taffy. fuck this is insanely good - refreshing, crisp, tart, fruity, an unparalleled summer offering.

This was poured into stange. The appearance was a copper-golden color with a crisp white foamy head that held nicely before dieing off. Semi-sticky lace but then slides into the beer after a while. The aroma seems to take a slight saline brush against sweet melon. Is it really watermelon? Leaves me scratching my beard. Just a wisp of grain, somewhat sweet. The flavor brings all of the previously mentioned flavors out, sweetly, semi-tart and just a touch of the salt. Wheat portion is somewhat there briskly touching the "sour" part. Melon sort of aftertaste and a quick dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a gentle touch of sour to salt touching my tongue. Fair sessionability. Moderate carbonation, but light enough. Overall, gose? In Foam Brewers’ sort of odd way. Do-able, but I’ve had better by them.

i loved all of the beers we had here, but this one might have been my favorite. its just so interesting, unlike any other gose on the market right now. its so delicate, hardly even pale yellow in color. its brewed with melon like crazy, not sure if its just watermelon or if it is some combination of different types, but this element is really a driving force in here, and with the salt, its almost savory, more summery than you could imagine, and just a great idea to add to the recipe. the salt is nice here too, and even though the beer is only subtly sour, there is a cool tangy property to it. the grain is really minimal, super clean, almost not even sure there is wheat in here, its very mild and light in any event. carbonation is on point, and there are white wine notes as this finishes. a really refined example of the style, infinitely drinkable, and just a really unique and special beer. everything was great here, but this was the most memorable brew for me. they need to find a way to can and distribute it, it will definitely get them on the map!
