On tap at the brewery. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a ruddy burnt yellow color with a thin finger’s worth of white foamy head that died off at a nice pace. Messy lace. The aroma starts off with a brisk piney fresh hoppy bitterness. A tad unexpected as it kicks a bit more over some citrus, grassy and pineapple notes. The flavor initially leans bitter but develops into the sweetness nice and adequately punching the citrus rind and pine into a nice aftertaste and quick bitter finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation creates a good easy going down the throat nicely. Overall, very nice AIPA that I would love to have again.

Review from notes, consumed 1/25/17
A: Golden orange with tangerine highlights - very hazy and turbid, could pass for fruit juice - pours from growler with a small, off-white head, fades to a wispy cap and small collar
S: Fruity but seemingly West Coast inspired - tangerine and orange flesh, juice - some light grapefruit - resinous hops, lightly leafy with some nice pine aromas - a fruit-punch like aromas, with pineapple, melon, lime, and grape - light sweetness, malts are mostly absent
T: Nicely fruity without crossing into juice territory - fresh orange and tangerine, grapefruit and ruby red grapefruit juice - resinous hops with some pine needles to accent the citrus - bright and tropical as well, with melon, pineapple, peach, white grape, and pear - medium high bitterness, light sweetness, clean finish
M: Medium body, smooth and velvety, low carbonation
O: The pleasure is all mine... or yours
Compared to the other IPA I've had from Foam (The Fruit Thate Ate Itself), Pleased to Meet Me is more traditional. It's really good but could use some refinement. It has some great flavors but could use more depth. Definitely worth drinking if you see it.

My wife and I are IPA snobs, having tried and loved Hedy Topper, Julius, Haze, Focal Banger , Space Juice, Sip of Sunshine and surprisingly I would have to say this beer takes home the trophy of THE best IPA/double IPA that we have ever sampled. I am not a big fan of the actual brewery in Burlington, VT, but damn they most certainly know how to brew their beers.
