A: Pours a hazy yellow color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap that leaves good lacing

S: Citrus and light pine up front along with some floral notes

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the citrus and then picks up some melon, floral, and pine notes. Moderately bitter. Finishes with lingering light bitterness and citrus

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: Another solid IPA from Foam. Super easy to drink. Nicely balanced. Recommended

Cloudy light yellow-orange with three fingers of antique white head. Spotty lacing

Papaya and clementine in the nose. There’s some slight grassiness and doughiness in there, too.

The taste largely follows: tropical and citrus flavors kept in check by grass, strong citrus rind (lime?) and some slight doughy malt.

Soft, full feel with just enough carbonation.

A really well-balanced, well-crafted New England IPA. Plenty of fruit flavor coupled with some really nice bitterness

On tap, pours a very hazy orange. Smell and taste are pretty typical tropical and citrus fruits. Has a bit of a resinous bite at the finish. Very solid NEIPA, but nothing crazy.

This is just like a decent Trillium beer overall. Opaque but still a little light on the haze for a solid NEIPA. Nose is juicy citrusy. Both nose and appearance pique my interest, but not enough to blow me away. Taste is juicy but a little sharp on the palate.

Served on tap at the brewery.
Pours a glowing honey straw color...hazy with two fingers of foamy head.
Aromas are a nice mix of lemon and pineapple.
Flavors are beautiful. In line with aromas. Accessible fruit with no bitterness.
Great mouthfeel.
Overall..delicious and quenching.

Pours a thick hazy pineapple/orange juice color. Thin white head that dissipates almost immediately, without leaving any lacing to speak of. Aroma is a mix of tropical and citrus fruit. Flavor is the same mix with a touch of hoppy bitterness in the finish. Feel is medium thickness. Overall a nice beer.

L - Foam labels will always get an extra quarter point from me. Love the creativity, love the look. Pours a vibrant, yeasty yellowy orange. Head that looks like bubble juice.

S - soft pineapple smoothie and white bread. Mandarin oranges and kiwi.

T - herbal, green fruits. Leans heavily on pineapple with bitter, grassy lemon peel. Astringent grapefruit and a yeasty acidity. The finish leaves pure hop essence on the tongue. Guessing lots of dry hops in this one.

F - light and summery, but the carbonation is off. Too airy and foams (lel) up with even the slightest jostle. Would love a more robust creaminess to beat back the bitterness.

O - this beer is definitely green. Feels a tad unfinished, but will satisfy anybody looking to get their teeth kicked in with hoppy bitterness. Tastes like a lot of amateur hour NEIPAs I've had over the years, which isn't a bad thing, but I know Foam can do better. That said, it's still an enjoyable beer, just needs the edges rounded off a bit.

Drank from a one pint can purchased at Foam Brewers, Burlington, VT
Served in a tulip

Cloudy straw yellow appearance. The nearly opaque body was topped by a tight, frothy, bright white, finger-tall crown that quickly fell to a medium sized collar. No lacing whatsoever.

The nose was hoppy and pleasant but somewhat nondescript. Juicy orange notes came through strongest. Some tangerine as well. After a few minutes, the aroma turned sweeter and eventually took on an almost cotton candy-like quality. Bit of white grapefruit too. Later, the sweetness intensified to an almost artificial level.

While the aroma was shockingly sweet, the flavor was immensely pithy, dry and bitter. Tangerine was noticeable up front before the bitter hop notes took over. White grapefruit appeared in the center and intensified as the beer moved along the palate. Some lemony tartness and underipe pineapple too. More grapefruit rind, lemon and dry, resiny bitterness on the back end and in the finish. The bitter, astringent hop notes really crescendoed after the swallow. I felt as if I were chewing on raw hop pellets.

Decent mouthfeel. Frothy, soft and smooth on the palate. Medium-light bodied for the style. The liquid contained a fine, rather subdued effervescence that dissipated as the beer sat.

Like Clockwork tasted like an IPA that had not been given enough time in the bright tank to properly drop its particulates. This beer was far too bitter and astringent for my palate and I would imagine most other people’s too. I wonder if this was part of a bad batch or if this is how the brewers envisioned the beer to taste.

Beautiful OJ /Momosa looking beer. Slightly muted aroma, but what is there is very citrus forward. Taste is very strong grapefruit with some slight high ABV burn up front and a dry, chalky slightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is ok, but missing the soft and silky NEIPA standard a little. Overall it's a solid NEIPA.

From can. Hazy golden color. Sweetish malty notes, dextrin, juicy hops. Taste is zesty, citrusy, hoppy, dank with a light grassy bitterness on the finish. Medium to light body, medium carbonation.

1/11 can consumed on 1/14, from notes. Had tons of orange rind and clementine flavors, nice raw hoppiness to it. Body was deceptively light, definitely thought this was a regular IPA at first. Foam still killing it with their beers!

Canned 1/11/18 with "Like The River" on the bottom, it pours cloudy yellow gold color with a solid 2 finger bright white colored foamy head that was packed with tiny bubbles, dissipating very slowly and leaving really good foamy lacing with rings as it went down. Classic NE IPA looks coming straight from Vermont.

Smells of citrus hops, lemon zest, grapefruit, pineapple, weed, orange juice, tangerine and then a combo that's biscuit, faint caramel, grains and floral notes. Overall to me it seems like juicy citrus fruit with just enough of a malt backbone to give it nice balance.

Tastes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, orange juice, light floral hops, fresh cut grass, papaya, biscuit, dry chalky yeast, coriander and light peppery spices. The flavor tightens up with less actual recognizable flavors coming out, but what is there shows up and makes for a complex and well balanced beer. This brew hides the 8.2% ABV masterfully.

Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with very mellow carbonation, real minor bitterness, an average to light body and a tart citrus sweetness that trails off like a cross between grapefruit juice and guava juice. Overall an enjoyable offering.

Thanks goes out to Satchboogie for this brew.

16 oz. Can
Canned On: 01/11/18

Poured into a Trillium glass a pretty nice cloudy pale yellow/orangy color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice thick/creamy one-finger white head, which leaves some nice sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, mango), pretty nice diesel like. The taste is really nice, hoppy, malty, with a pretty nice citrus complex (orange, tangerine, grapefruit, peach, mango), pretty nice diesel like. Medium body, ABV is hidden very nicely, with a nice little dry/bitter finish. Overall, this is a very tasty brew. These Foam brews are very tasty. Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Orange Julius! Addictive! Thanks Kyle!

This one pours a very hazy and juicy looking orange, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

This smells like pure hoppy pineapple juice, with fresh cut grass, a bit of weed, with some mango and grapefruit.

This might be the most pineapple flavor I've ever gotten out of a beer that didn't have pineapple in it. It's smooth, juicy, and goes down crazy easy. There's a very slight bit of grassy and weedy bitterness, enough to keep this from being too sweet or too muddled. I get a bit of mango, and a tinge of grapefruit, but this is mostly pineapple all the way.

This is very creamy, and very drinkable, with a smooth finish on the back end.

It seems like this beer is currently peaking. It is very tasty.

Moderate to vigorous pour yields a 1/4 inch off white head over an extremely cloudy, murky body with lacing gone in a few minutes. Nose of pine and citrus. Juice flavor with a dry bitter finish. Here we go again. Yet another juice/cloud bomb with a feel of particulate and carbonation that is lacking. Good nose and flavor, but, that's it. I need bubbles! So many IPAs out there like this and it's gettin' old.

...Like clockwork indeed.

Pint can. " Like the river" 1/11/18. Opened only two days later. 1/13/18

A dirty golden color with a muddy, white haze. Totally opaque. Within the dense looking liquid is obvious lively bubbles streaming up to create an all-white, clumpy foam topping. The foam coverage is excellent, minimal lacing however.

A very dense, tropical fruity-hop dominated nose. Kiwi, mango, pineapple, sour apples, golden wheat, herbs and spices, sweet, wild fruits and grainy malted barley.

A rather sharp, tangy and earthy-bitter hop bite comes through first in the flavor. Zesty wheat malt, tangy and sour tropical fruits, leafy hop, and yeah...once again, a sharp, bitter, dry earthy hop bite. This is one of the most bitter-hop forward New England Style DIPA's I can think of. Mango, peach and kiwi is in there, not ever providing a sweet taste however. A fat, juicy, full and thick body and texture. Fresh and lively but damn thick and heady feel as well.

Bitter and sour hop tones prevail over a light, wheat style malted barley balance and base. 8.2 % abv is literally hidden by the amount of hoppy depth and charecter.

New England is a mecca for big-ass IPA's. Burlington, VT and Portland, ME leading the way currently. Foam bringing even more good fortune to Vermont.

Poured into a tulip. The appearance was a glossy golden orange color with a good steady finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Light stringy lace. The aroma had some sweet mangoes, floral sweet to bitter hops and a delicate little bit of sweet tangerine. Light grassy hops. The flavor brought forward the sweetness of the blend of the mangoes and the tangerines with a subtle effect of the floral hop quality adding a little bit of dryness. Not much of an aftertaste but a nice floral to tangerine sweet sort of finish. The feel was about medium bodied, maybe slightly under with a little bit of bitter dryness affecting the flow over my tongue. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, another damn nice offering by Foam Brewers. Well worthy of more intakes.

Light yellow orange with medium white head. Heavy haze but not murky. Spruce and pineapple come through on the nose. Strong spruce/pine, pineapple, and grapefruit/orange citrus in the flavor. Alcohol well hidden. Juicy hops and balanced with some light cracker malt flavors.

At the source... Foam Brewers.

A: Cloudy golden orange with whispy white foam clouds atop.
S: Citrusy and piney with a hint of cracker malt.
T: Tasting notes on the menu nail it - tangerine, spruce pineapple goodness. Juicy!
M: Soft with the right amount of bitterness.
O: Another home run

This beer is one of my favorites from Foam yet. These guys are making great beers here in VT
