On tap at the brewery.
The appearance was a sturdy burnt copper/rust color with a quickly dieing foamy head. No lace.
The aroma had a nice vibrant blend of peach to apricot and grassy sweet delicate citrusy zestiness. Then the pear came in for subtle sweetness. Nice low lying sour ripened fruit fleshiness to cling in the balance.
The flavor was a spectacular blend of the sour to the sweet to the tart and then popping a little bit of that zesty citrus in underneath. Low lying acidic level hits just before the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with the normal sipping quality about it for an American Wild ale. Carbonation felt fine, somewhat low but that didn't bother me. ABV felt appropriate. Sour harshness level seemed appropriate - some pucker but not burdensome. Somewhat peachy in the finish.
Overall, extremely nice American Wild ale well worth my time and money. Recommend to sour/wild ale fans.
