Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a milky yellow chill haze sort of color to it. Mild thin finger's worth of white foamy head sat atop and dissipated at a fair pace. Developed some stringy lace as it slid down.
The aroma had a nice blend of orange pulp and rind with some lactose/cream and then a delicate mango sort of tropical sweetness. Full sweet grass hoppiness at the end.
The flavor moderately blended the grass, mango and orange pulp pretty nice with the rind-like bitterness portions trying to meld and honestly, they do for the most part. Slight little tickle of white pepper forms right before the aftertaste occurs, and that was mainly the blend of the lactose to the orange/mango to tropical sweet character.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt a bit under, but I expected that. ABV felt on par. Finish was semi-creamy sort of smooth tropical soothing attitude to it.
Overall, definitely a New England styled DIPA that I would love to have again.
