It feels like a fitting day to be canning this paradox. Distopian Dream Girl is the single version of the first Double IPA we ever brewed, Built to Spill. Brewed with copious quantities of Galaxy and Citra, it treats you to a mélange of citrus and tropical fruit flavors. Inspired by the influential band that has blasted through the brewery speakers more than any other, it seemed appropriate to work with another artist from Boise, when developing the can art.
Now based out of Portland Maine, we first worked with Heidi Geist when she put together an art installation for the brewery more than a year ago. Since then, we have become friends, running into each other at festivals and events whenever possible. It was only a matter of time until we collaborated on a label. When she announced the 48 Beer Project, the starts aligned. We couldn’t be more thrilled with how this one came out. Thank you Heidi.
For those of you who aren’t aware, the 48 Beer Project is a solo exploration into beer and the surrounding culture, across America. Heidi is stopping in each state to collaborate with a brewery on label art and get an intimate look at the local scene.
Heidi, we hope you enjoyed your time in Vermont as much as we enjoyed having you. Good luck on the rest of your journey!
