Growler brought home.
First pour into a becher pint glass. Second pour into a tulip, nothing changed.
The appearance was a thick paper yellow color that left a sheen of white foamy head that slipped away very quickly.
The aroma had some white pepper, danky sweet onion, grapefruit, lemongrass, orange juice and a tickle of green pepper on that back end.
The flavor matches the green and white pepper spiciness to the sweetness of the onion. Grapefruit refreshingly provides a slight escape for the spice to stealthily sneaking into the aftertaste with a sweet mobile glide, slightly sticky.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fine sessionability about it. Carbonation was not as low as expected but still acceptable for the New England styled IPA - it's low but just a smidgen higher within it's range of being low. ABV felt as projected. Orange juicy and danky onion sweet sort of smooth finish.
Overall, very nicely done New England styled IPA I would be willing to have again.
