On tap at the brewery.
This was poured into a tall tulip.
The appearance was a thick purple milky color with a sly finger's worth of white foamy head. Not much lace.
The aroma blended thoroughly between tart and sweet bluberry flesh to lemon juicy pulp. Saltiness seems more of an afterthought. Light notes of some sour lemon character.
The flavor leans towards the tart and sweetness of the blueberry. Lemon tried to mesh with the blueberry but seemed to be secondary here. Moderate aftertaste of blueberry.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. Sour harshness seemed barely there. ABV felt close to what was projected.
Overall, the brewer calls this a gose but where was the sour-ed wheat? As much as I love blueberries and dig the concept, I don't see this as much as a gose. The quality of this design is there but stylistically it falls short.
