On tap at the brewery.
The appearance was a glossy amber to light purple color. Slight transparency but I didn't notice much carbonation rising. Finger's worth of white foamy head dissolved at a fair pace. Slight lace here and there.
The aroma had a nice blend of floral sweet character, sweet and sour wheat, light plums and ended with a modest saltiness.
The flavor leaned towards a blend of sweet and sour-ed wheat, floral character and plums. Light aftertaste of plum, sour-ed wheat, lemon, floral quality and salt.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Though the sour-ness wasn't distracting, the saltiness shows enough strength to push the sessionability a bit down on this one. Carbonation and ABV felt on par. Semi-salty, floral and lemony sort of finish with some sour-ed wheat.
Overall, pretty good gose for the most part. I wasn't sure if the plums were intentional, but part of me wants to say yes due to the color. Could be a real knockout for the style if the saltiness was scaled back just a little bit.
