this one is still really white and thick and pasty looking, overly starchy, more whitewashed than colored in appearance, but unlike the manteca i had while i was there as well, this one has a nice head on it and some great carbonation to keep it from stagnating in the mouthfeel, i dont mind it as much here, and the extra body and protein to it seem to extend the best parts of the hops, not just in the finish like a typical dry hop, but bright and forward all the way through, with everything from tangerine to cantaloupe to lime and spruce, its as flavorful as it is aromatic too, juicy and even quenching, but with enough bitterness to feel resolved to me after each sip, it doesnt linger weirdly like to many of these do. what is the yeast here i wonder? its not quite flavorless, but it adds a sort of intangible character that is there in their other beers in these hazy styles too, crackery and not exactly clean, but it does something nice with the hops, unique. freshness is on point, it hides its strength well, the hop profile is mouthwatering and delicious and original in this context, smooth to drink on, and overall i thought this was amazing ipa.
