On tap at the brewery.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a mildly bright yellow murky color with a finger and a half's worth of white foamy head mildly dissipating. Some messy lace glossed the sides.
The aroma had some sweet crushed orange, mild white pepper/grassiness, sweet pineapple, a full bittersweet pine and a gentle earthy crisp sweetness.
The flavor seems to lean into a full head on "bittersweet" capturing of the orange, pineapple, pine and earthy crisp sweetness. This leads into the aftertaste with a gentle crisp sweet orange/pineapple to pine.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Low carbonation and an appropriate ABV rolling into it's own. With a semi-crisp brush of penetrating my tongue just enough, this beer does a great job of balancing everything proportionately.
Overall, what a wonderful imperial IPA, well worthy of coming back to.
