Growler brought home.
This was poured into a becher pint glass and a tulip.
The appearance was a pale yellow tainted color with a small white semi-foamy head dissipating fairly quick. No lace.
The aroma had some orange juice, grapefruit juice, lime zest and white pepper. All arranging very nicely together.
The flavor melds the sweet to the bitter and gives a nice underlying zesty oomph for a stellar blend. Aftertaste is zesty sweet and a touch of hop spice.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Moderate harshness coming from the mix of zest to spice seemed to obscure some ability to want to pound this. No worries, I didn't mind. Carbonation felt a tad higher than expected with a longer finish with what seemed to me a higher IBU.
Overall, I liked this one alot and realize it might have the look of a New England styled IPA but it seems a bit more American IPA in aroma, flavor and mouthfeel.
