On at the brewery.
The appearance was a fine looking golden dark yellow color with a small cap of a little white foamy head. This dissipated at a fine pace to leave a mellow sliding lace.
The aroma had a sweet to tart red cherry flesh and skin character. Light guava sweetness came in underneath for a nice balance. Sly vanilla/creamy like lactose even further underneath.
The flavor meshes well between the cherry sweet and tart character to the guava juicy sweetness. Ample sour quality slyly moved in. Mellow aftertaste of sweet cherry and tart skin.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied. Somewhat a sipper but found I wasn't nursing this one as I often do with a lot of sours. ABV felt on par. Nice rich lactose smoothness really helping the pucker factor barely showing up.
Overall, what a wonderful fruited sour ale well worthy of coming back to.
