From a 750ml growler, filled at the brewery on 05/08/19. Served in a Foam-branded cervoise.
Pours a cloudy-milky sort of mango-gold color with just shy of two fingers of whipped froth. Retention is pretty good, leaving a thick, creamy collar and fat sticky sheets of lacing.
Medium intensity nose of sweet orange and whipped cream. Yum.
Taste is not what the aroma led me to expect - first impression is of flabby dough and chopped tree leaves. Not unpleasant but weird and not super interesting. Low bitterness with just a hint of that fruity creamsicle I was looking forward to.
Feel is creamy, juicy, doughy - take your pick - medium-hefty bodied with fine carbonation. A little boozy warmth in the gullet at first but I’m not noticing it now.
Overall, fairly meh. Doughy in both taste and feel and with a weird, leafy greenness.
