1st review of this beer on BA. Had this in October 2019 at Foam Brewing. Its a wet hop beer.
Pours with ample hazy properties, yellow/golden in color, 2/3" white head. Dense. What is a riot here is that this beer has no flaked oats/wheat, its all barley. So why does it look that way, is it a massive amount of dry hopping? Is it the wet hops?
Tough to tell because Nugget, while a good hop, isn't necessarily the most aromatic, but then again, maybe that is why they might dry hop the hell out of it. Anyways, smells like sweet citrus and bitter citrus.
Taste brings that green vegetal aspect of a wet hop to the two tone citrus hit. Nugget gives an enjoyable herbal bitterness for the taste and the mouth feel. Light wooden effect combining with orange, tangerine and grapefruit notes. Has a much drier mouth feel than the appearance would make you think. Its the most west coast ipa that looks like a hazy ipa I've ever seen. Good at hiding alcohol too.
