Had this on the New England trip in October 2019 at the source. 1st review of this beer on BA.
Pours a dull darker golden color with 2/3" white head. The aroma owed more to its adjuncts than it did a traditional gose base of salinity. They says lime and pomegranate, I guess the lime pushes hardest.
Taste just had too much of the fruit for me to get behind it. Pomegranate is just too sweet. Did they have some leftover pomegranate or something? I think this was the 2nd pomegranate beer I had while visiting. There were no off flavors or flaws in execution, just by design I don't think this is a solid choice of a fruit for a gose. Lime, ok, makes sense, salt, lime, they go together quite a bit. The salinity factor got enveloped with the fruited aspects of the beer. Also should note it was raining the night I had this, so a relatively cold windy rainy night ain't exactly the best backdrop for gose drinking. Would totally bang this again in better weather to see if it speaks to me moreso.
