L -- Pours a deep brown with three fingers of fizzy light tan head produced with gentle pour. Minimal retention and some lacing
S -- Orange peel, cacao powder, hazelnut, hint of herbal hop
T -- Definitely getting that chocolate-covered orange character, with a bit of pumpkin pie spice thrown in as well. Not too much discernible hop bitterness. Surprisingly light flavors for the ABV. Slight metallic aftertaste
F -- Thin mouthfeel, medium+ carb. A bit unexpected for the flavor profile

12 oz. can.
Canned 12/23/20.
Moderate to vigorous pour yields a one inch light tan head over a near black body with some sticky lacing. Nose of dark, roasted malt, milk chocolate, bitter chocolate, orange zest, and lime zest. After 20 minutes of sipping the orange aroma is pushed aside somewhat by a heavy roastiness and dark fruit. Taste of chocolate, malted milk, with slight dark fruit and slight orange; finishing with hop bitterness. Nice feel and overall, quite the offering; unique and complex from the waterfront in Burlington, Vermont.
Cheers!!!

A- 12oz can pours into a tulip glass with a deep brown to black body. The cap rises up very quickly with cascading layers of bubbles to about two inches high with great retention and a thick creamy consistency. Huge rings of thick pillowy lacing drape the glass.
S- Expected to get some oranges based on the description but wow is this aroma very zesty and absolutely full of orange zest and juice aromas resembling fresh fruit. The dark base beer is secondary with hints of roast, toast sweetness and caramel. Like a massive amount of orange juice.
T- The chocolate bar with orange zest concept is appreciated but with some time to take this one in it feels like two separate entities. The massive orange juice and peel flavors transfer from the aroma and stay very strong. Alongside that are notes of cocoa nibs, milk chocolate, roast barley, toasted nuts, medium sweetness and coffee.
MF- Moderately thick body and a fairly high level of carbonation. The beer is smooth on the palate with a puffy and creamy texture. Ends with a heavy roast and orange peel bitterness.
There is a lot, lot, lot of orange aroma and flavor in this beer's aroma and flavor. The good thing is the oranges come off as fresh and authentic fruit notes. The less great thing is they dominate the aroma to the point where its reaching to pick up the base beer. Also, on the taste buds the dark base beer and the oranges just don't intermingle all that much and feel like a stout with a massively flavorful orange on the side.
