04/21/22 on bottom of can. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: moderately hazy pale yellow with two finger frothy white head with good retention but sparse lacing.
S: The aroma is the weakest part of this beer yet it is still excellent. The Roma's of apricot, peach, grapefruit, honeysuckle, and orange all greet the nose. Esther's are low moderate. Not a lot of malt present.
T: flavor immediately greet you with strong flavors of peach, apricot, guava, grapefruit, orange, and tangerine. There's a light melon note in the finish. Esther's are moderate and fruity. Alcohol is well hidden. Bitterness is low-moderate with a slight bite in the finish which is agreeable.
M: Mouth feel is medium body, soft caronation, and dryer finish than most NEIPAs.
O: I enjoyed this IPA the best from the phone 6th anniversary series. It has bright stone fruit and citrus flavors with a slight increase in bitterness to help drinkability and feel. I hope they bring this one back in future iterations.

Compared the previous incarnations, this one comes in 4th. Just a smidge too cutting of a bite at the end; something just a tiny bit harsh compared to 2018-2020 versions. Splitting hairs for sure when it comes to Foam but having drank multiples of the 4-year flight this year, 2021 is fine but not one of my FoamFaves.
